Welcome Good Friends to our XXXXth year of service! We are thrilled to have articles written in two local newspapers which celebrated our thirty five years of service here in Ocean City with our wonderful guests. A couple of quotes from some of our guests are: “This place is a retreat. It’s a sanctuary, a place of peace. I let go when I come here. I relax. I get refreshed, renewed.” Another guest says, “It’s just a fun place to be.” A third reports, “I’ve seen your five children grow and now I’m enjoying seeing thirteen little grandchildren continue the Family tradition which Ocean City is so well known for. Thank you for sharing.” What I, Peggy Ann, have to say is that “Inn keeping is about making memories – memories for ourselves and memories for others.” How blessed we all are to be able to be an integral part of a lot of peoples’ lives and memories! As we continue to make more memories for ourselves and for others, we welcome YOU to Year Thirty Seven.
The Osborne Family continues to grow. Frank and I started with Kelley (4), Kevin (3), Colleen (18 months) and Frank X. (two months old). Megan, back in 1974, was still in Heaven waiting to join the Family in 1977. Now we have Kelley and Dave Faust with their two sets of twin girls – Kerry Elizabeth and Christine Ann (age 9) and Anna Grace and Margaret Mary (age 6). They recently relocated from Ocean City to Maple Glen, PA. The four girls attend St. Alphonsus School. Kevin and Leslie Osborne have Colin James (8), Grace Elizabeth (6) and Cameron Francis (3). Colin and Grace attend Jarrettown Elementary School and Cameron attends pre-school at a Church Nursery School in Willow Grove. Colleen and Brad Mook have Molly Elizabeth (8), Gavin Osborne (6) and Elizabeth (Ellie) Caroline (4). Molly and Gavin attend St. Alphonsus School and Ellie attends an Easter Seals’ Program. Proud to say that Ellie is the “Ambassador” for Easter Seals for her particular class this year. Go Ellie! Francis Xavier (Frankie) age 35 continues to be our Irish son, living in Conshohocken. He loves life and the pleasure he gets from his nine nieces and four nephews. They DO love their fun-loving Uncle Frankie. Lastly, we have Megan and Brian Romano. They made the big move this year from their lovely home in Warrington to an even lovelier home in the Horsham, Ambler area – not far from their married siblings. Hard to believe that JP (James Patrick) will be entering Kindergarten at St. Alphonsus this year, (that makes seven little people from our family in that wonderful school). Kathryn Grace (3) will be attending a preschool program at St. Paul's Church in Warrington and Erin Margaret, born June 29, 2009, will keep the “home fires” burning with her cheery disposition. All in all we have thirteen grandchildren, aged 9 down to 1. Sometimes “The Porch” is a place of peace where one can sit very relaxed and enjoy the quiet, enjoying the sound of the surf or reading a book, other times, depending on who is present at the moment, it could be “Happy Chaos” with the pitter patter of little feet. Whichever way it is – it’s always a fun place to be.
For your information, same as last year, we are keeping the ground floor, Apartment A, available to our children when they are there. When not in use by our family, it is available for rental. The past few years have worked out well. Flexibility is the key.
A FEW REMINDERS: This is a Non Smoking home. There is a washer/dryer in the utility room. Morning coffee is provided each day for our Room Guests. We do provide beach tags. Parking will also be provided if you bring an extra set of keys and allow us to move your vehicle. You are welcome to use the showers and facility on the day you check out. That will give you another day to enjoy the beach and the fun that is an integral part of the Ocean City Experience. Customer satisfaction is our #1 Priority.
Come join us for some "FUN IN THE SUN"!
