Frank and Peggy Ann, it's always a pleasure to visit you and Ocean City! September on the beach is so quiet and relaxing and our apartment makes even staying 'home' a delight. We look forward to our visit every year!
I, DebbiSue, have spent part of every summer of my life in Ocean City...and after getting engaged in OC, marrying Carl, and having 3 wonderful kids that have grown up with that same tradition... as a family, we get to Ocean City whenever we can!
We have always called 15th Street 'our beach' and walked past Frank & PeggyAnne's place and felt like we knew them...In the last few years we have stayed at their INN several times, as have members of our extended family. The Osbornes are like dear friends to us now!
Our most recent stays in May & September 2014 were wonderful!! The views from the porch, the clean, comfortable rooms and the proximity to 'our beach' will definitely have us coming back again!
God bless you Frank and PeggyAnne! You are a blessing to so many people!
After coming to Ocean City for years with my family, and one year even with cousins visiting from Germany, I have found 'Heaven in Ocean City' at Osborne's Inn.
O Outstanding hospitality with Peggy and Frank; they are very caring and go out of their way to make you feel welcome
S Shopping on Asbury is close by
B Boardwalk and Beach are even closer..........stone's throw away
O Ocean is great, and with a wonderful sandy beach to bury my toes in
R Rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated; great Restaurants within walking distance
N Nice porch at the Inn for enjoying the ocean view and breezes, and making new friends
E' Extraordinary location, and Excellent hosts
S Special memories...............as I drove away, I already couldn't until my next visit!!
Ocean City is a special resort and once my car is parked, it does not move until I leave. I can walk everywhere. And now I have found my special accomodations!
Thank you, Peggy and Frank!
See you again soon!
Karin
Dear PeggyAnn and Frank,
We, too, come to Ocean City as a result of sadness and gladness. Our Mother died young, and this year it is 20 years that our father is gone. Come February it is 20 years that my husband died at age 42. Too much too soon.
But we always came to OC as children. My parents saved all year so we could have a week away. Now that we are living in different locations, and not getting younger, we decided to get together more often for some fun vacation time. Thanks for having us. And thanks for the photos. I am having them printed for the sisters.

1988 – Sunday July 17th – Kelley’s 19th birthday.
7/25/1988 – Frankie’s Graduation Party was held here on Tuesday, June 21, 1988. In attendance were: Clement Cho, Nuno (Mike) Ferreira, Jamie Lesher, Gordon O’Brien, Frankie Osborne, Jimmy Connelly, Nicole Davis, Donna DuVaughn, Dawn Jackson, Donna Pallas, Amy Quigley, Monica Robinson, Stephanie Shupak, Cathi Savage, Kathy Whelan. We had car pools since Father DeMayo felt uncomfortable about renting a van as Father Skelly did.
Some of the adults in attendance were: Linda Lesher, Loretta Savage, Doris O’Brien, Bernadette Quigley, Barbara Robinson, Kathy Whelan, Father Skelly, Rich Mitchell, Carolyn Bryant, Anne Cunningham came at dinner time. (I had borrowed her Real Estate notes to study for my real estate test, which I took on June 25th and passed. Ann brought with her her sons, Michael, Andrew and her daughter, Clare.
Some of the younger members of the party were: Becky O’Brien, Brenna, Aidan and Aileen Robinson, Kathy Whelan brought her nephew and Denise Bryant joined the group. Some of the former faculty members who attended were Maureen McHale, Sister Joan Mickey, Judy O’Neill with her two children – Billy and Jessica (or Jennifer). Mrs. Gaubus, the children’s 8th grade teacher, also joined us. She and Linda Lesher were the only two from the present faculty who attended.
Nice notes in response to the invitation came from Sister Mary Thomas, and Sister Cordelia. Father Kevin Gallagher was sad since he was unable to attend because of a retreat commitment. Chris Amons (Music Teacher) and Mary Ann Crawford (Phys Ed Teacher) were supposed to come but were unable to make it.
One hundred pieces of chicken – eight quarts of French fries – cole slaw – broccoli and corn were for dinner. For lunch we had the usual – hot dogs, sloppy Joes and soda. Frank was able to attend for the fourth straight graduation party. All the Osborne kids were in attendance except for Kelley – who had to work at Frank’s office. The party went well. Everyone got home safely. The end of an era – no more St. Joe graduation parties in Ocean City for us.
7/25/1988 – Sister Donna and Sister Cordelia both of whom lived and taught at St. Joe’s School, came down and rented Room 2 for three days – they came in a day after graduation party.
I got two nuns staying here with me – Room F. One is Sister Gerald Francis – the other is Sister Grace. Sister Gerald works at Norwood Academy. Sister Grace is a Music Teacher at St. Ambrose School – Sister Gerald Francis talks all the time. I pray she doesn’t wear me down. They, indeed, are good women who help so many others. We are privileged to be able to show them hospitality every so often.
7/27/1988 – Ann Marie Schmieg and Martin stopped by with Emily. Martin rode his bike from Independence Mall to Smithville to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Stopped here to take a shower and say hi.
Can't help but love the Jersey Shore from swimming in the awesome Atlantic (Jonathan is a kid at heart in the ocean) to the thrill of seeing most all of OCNJ atop the Wonderland Pier Ferris Wheel at dusk--thanks for suggesting this Jonathan--it was very romantic, honey! Our second visit with the Osborne's at their charming Inn was made extra special this year by the hospitality of Peggy Ann, Frank and family. I don't know all the names of the Osborne's children and grandchildren but they all have a smile and friendly hello each year we have visited. We love the third floor room with the deck and the coastal breeze coming through the sliding screen door--so peaceful! And it's great having Bob's Grill right down the boardwalk to start the day with an amazing breakfast after Peggy Ann's complimentary, full bodied coffee, of course! Thank you, OCNJ and all the Osborne's for a memorable mini vacation! The Storms--Jonathan and Tina
Frank and I go way back to West Oak Lane and Cardinal Dougherty - basketball and lots of fun!
This is one of the reasons that Frank and I work sooo hard!
We like it here.
Always enjoy these people who find the BEST places to dine be it Ocean City or Margate or Atlantic City. They are delightful.
