Love Apartment A

July 2, 2008:  What a blessing when Bruce 'happened upon' the Osborne's Fairview Inn in search for a new place to stay.  the other place we used to go to was being torn down.  We met Peggy Ann and her beautiful front porch and instantly knew we wanted to 'give it a try'.  It has been seven or eight years now, and we have enjoyed every stay we have had.  Several times we rented Apartment A and really felt as if we were 'moving up' to stay in such a wonderful vacation place.

As it is, Bruce and I both love Ocean City as we were raised coming here as children with our families.  Many nice memories have been made here.  We now share that joy with our two beautiful little girls.  Sharing our lives in Ocean City with Peggy Ann and her family is a wonderful part of our lives.  Remember when you told me that you were going to rent Apartment A to your family (I don't mean'rent'... - I mean 'have available').  I asked you, 'Why can't we be your family?'  We both had a good laugh.  You are great, Peggy Ann.  Thank you so much for your hospitality and graciousness.  Happy 35 years and counting.  We love you guys.  May God bless you and all your family.

Look forward to the beach!

Taylor and I have been coming to Osborne's Inn since he was ol enough to walk.  He loves the beach, as do I.  This is the first year that Steve could get away from work long enough to join us.  I think he will come back, even though he got REALLY burnt on the beach the first day he was here.  Thanks for having a great place that we can stay and call home for a wonderful week.

Several years later!

Thank you for sharing your home with us, year after year.  We look forward to the beach each summer - and start counting down the weeks and days as soon as we get our reservations booked.  Taylor and I (and maybe Steve also) can't wait to get to the beach.  We jump in the waves and relax.  Thanks for everything.

Fairview Village in Illinois!

When I was four or five years old, seventy five years ago, I was in Ocean City with my family.  My grandfather taught me how to whistle one day.  We were staying at the Colonial Hotel (I think) and I remember lying in my small cot in the apartment practicing my new talent.  My parents and grandparents, needless to say, kept telling me to stop, so that we could all get some sleep.  That was the trip when I was first introduced to the boardwalk and Shriver's Salt Water Taffy.  Another memory is of The Music Pier, where I actually performed with our high school group and I sang a solo.  Very impressive!  I recall many day trips from Haddonfield, NJ, to hit the ocean and the boardwalk.  I still connect the beautiful hydrangeas whenever I see them.  They are my favorite.  I am always impressed by the unique relaxed Spirit of family and friendship here, and even after 45 years of living in Illinois, I love to come back here when we can.  Our stay here at Osborne's Inn has been so great - everything we could ned (by the way, I now live at Fairview Village Retirement Village in Downer's Grove, Illinois).  We came from a distance to be here, so it must be special.  God bless you all!  My daughters from Minnesota and from Illinois have accompanied on this memorable journey!

I love Ocean City, New Jersey.  Many of my favorite memories are from this wonderful place.  I found Osborne's Inn approximately ten years ago.  Coming here is like staying with friends.  Thank you both for your warm and welcoming kindness.  I am ver comfortable here and would not dream of staying anywhere else.

Congratulations on thirty five years of service?  My memories continue to be made as I return year after year. Thank you Osborne Family.

'The Ocean City Air!!'

from My heart is in Ocean City!

I've been coming to Ocean City with my parents and sister since I was a toddler.  I always remember the feeling in my stomach coming over the 9th Street bridge and smelling that 'Ocean Air'.  I loved the look of the town and boardwalk all lit up at night and passing hotels with the pool lights on.  Now I have a family of my own and I want my son to experience the same summer memories here that I did.  We stayed here upon recommendation from my parents and we absolutely 'love it'!

Thanks for the wonderful stay in your delightful home.  I have been coming to Ocean City since I was a child and coming to your Inn is always enjoyable.  You make me feel at home.  I can't wait to do it again next year!!!  So much has changed here over the years, yet it feels the same as when I came here with my parents many years ago.  This is like my 'home away from home'!!  Thanks for everything.  Congrats on the 35th anniversary of Osborne's Inn.  You and your family are 'the best'!

The Shore is 'in my blood'!

from Ocean City at heart

I love Ocean City so much.  As a kid, my family and I would take a week's vacation in Atlantic City in June.  I was born in 1955 in Philadelphia so the shore has been in my bloood all my life.  I remember going to Kent's pancake house in Atlantic City.  We gradually down the coast over the years to Margate in the 1970's.  During my college days I spent a summer working as a chambermaid at the Golden Inn in Avalon.  All of those shore points were fun but nothing compared to ocean City.  We started coming here in the 80's when my son was born.  The peace and quiet of Ocean City is wonderful.

Osborne's Inn is such a great place to be.  We are so glad to have found this place and to have met you. Congratulations on 35 years of outstanding service!

The Ocean, Shimmering in the Light!

My Ocean City memories go back to the early 1950's when my family would come from Pittsburgh for a week every summer.  My father's family had been coming since he was a boy.  From the start, I loved Ocean City.  I loved the beach - digging in the sand or bobbing in the water on a raft my father would rent.  I remember long lines at Watson's, music at the Pier, the ferris wheel, Llitterers, Simms, the Christmas shop, Copper Kettle Fudge and riding a bike with the breeze coming off the ocean.  Such good memories!

In college, I was thrilled to meet students who worked at the Flanders, and for three wonderful summers, I worked there, too, in the pool and tennis area.  Day after day, I'd look out at the ocean, shimmering in the light, and I wold marvel at being able to spend all summer there.

As an adult, I moved to the midwest, passing many years without coming to the shore.  One late summer day, I found myslef planning a two day trip to Lake Michigan when I suddenly thought, 'No, I want to see Ocean City again.  No substitutes!'  I got on the web to find lodgings, skipping over the motels and condos.  Looking for the Ocean City I had always loved, hoping it was still here.  And there it was - an ad for Osborne's Inn.  I could see from the picture it was just what I wanted, and the description was perfect.  Would there be a vacancy?  I called, got Peggy Ann, and was thrilled to be 'on my way'.  Staying here is 'real' Ocean City - your warmth and hospitality make this a true 'home away from home'.

I start thinking about the shore in the winter, call Peggy Ann, get my reservation and I come and thoroughly enjoy myself.  Ocean City, New Jersey - a place that I love.

God bless you both, Peggy Ann and Frank, for keeping alive a way of life that means so much to so many of us.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share.

Wow - 35 years!  Congratulations!  That's really something special, but then so are you and the Osborne's Fairview Inn.  We were so lucky to have found you back in 2001.  It was late in the season when we tried to find a place tos tay for our upcoiming bike ride in the MS 150 City to Shore Bike event.  Our search wasn't going very well, and, after trying several places, we were about to give up.  But, as fate would have it, we drove a little longer and came across your Inn.  We remember thinking 'no chance they would have an opening', but we thought it couldn't hurt to ask.  We are so glad we did.  Not only did we find a great place to rest after a very l long bike ride, but we also found two warm, friendly, caring people who made us feel right at home.  We've been coming back every year since and look forward to many more years to come.  It certainly makes it a lot easier to pedal your bike eight to 100 miles when you know you have such a great place and warm weelcome waiting for you at the finish line!

Thank you Peggy Ann and Frank for welcoming us in your home and being a part of the memories that we are making here in Ocean City.   With all the changes life has brought us the last few years, it's comforting to know that you are there ready to welcome us year after year.  Thanks again for everything.  Love you!

My Favorite Place in the whole world - Ocean City!

No matter how many years pass or how far away I go, Ocean City is still my favorite palce on earth.  I was fortunate to spend my first twenty years at my grandparents home on 16th Street and working at Fralinger's through summers in high school.  Since then I've visited from a day or even a few nights, but now that I've found Osborne's I'll be bgack for vacations again and again.

I really enjoyed my two visits with you this summer.  Such a warm and welcoming place you have!  Only a few blocks from my old home, I am so happy and comfortable to be on these streets, walking these blocks, sistting on these beaches.  A real treat for me is being here.  May you and your family continue to be blessed.
