Always a place to come to when I need refreshment.  Refreshment this year (2013) is right before school is getting ready to start.  Here's hoping the Beach and the Porch and the Salt Air have become so a part of me that this academic year will just fly by.  Love everything about the Osbornes and about Ocean City.

Summer Memories To Fill A Lifetime

Tom and I started coming to OCity,NJ 46 yrs ago as newlyweds!  Our first home away from home was on 4th and Corinthian-rooms for rent-homey/clean etc and nice owners-place  was sold and  is long gone-rebuilt to modern living. We enjoyed the beaches for hours, lots of great eating and fun times in Somers Point with many great live bands we still think fondly of after all these years!   As we began our little family we stayed at many different places to accomodate our needs.  The most memorable for us as a family was Ocean Rest on 31st and Central-owned by the Christian Brothers!  Tom's uncle, Brother A-loysius Lumley was  part of this wonderful community and Director there for many summers.  Our daughters, Shannon and Megan( now grown and both married) loved it there as much as the Brothers enjoyed having us-the girls entertained them as they did us too! The girls also loved OCity Boardwalk rides,Mack n Manco and when old enuf were thrilled to take the trolley to the boards themselves!  We often stayed at 23rd and Wesley-that too has been torn down and is modernized.the girls loved having friends thru high school and part of college come and share their memories of OCity!  Tom and i would often come to Ocity in the Fall and even wintertime when we'd walk the boards in our BOOTS! On one of these memorable walks several years ago we stopped and saw a flyer at the Osbornes Fairview Inn-little did we know it was on the same block where we often stayed.  The next summer we called and were lucky to spend a long few days -we were hooked  and one of the family by the end of this stay!!!  After all these years we are so happy to have found such wonderful new and forever friends,  Peggy Ann and Frank Osborne.  So happy to have found this summer haven.  this truly has become another 'FAVORITE' we have to add to our list of wonderful Ocean City Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time in Ocean City and we like it very much.  Ken is here for a Family Reunion.  The group is at the 49th Street area beach.  We've enjoyed our time here.

The washing machine and I have been good friends for many years.  Thank God for the 21st century - no more going to the river.

Great to be away!

Vasil, our first young man who worked here in the early 2000's.  What a joy he was.  Bulgaria has gifted us with some very fine people.

Many happy memories of sitting on the porch with little children and Amstel.  Oh, how the years have gone by!  We still love coming here as we grow older and wiser.

Everybody thinks that I sit back and just move cars.  Obviously I do more, but I love doing it.

We have enjoyed staying at the Osborne Inn for about four years now.  It truly feels like home away from home. We feel so comfortable here.  We are certainly looking forward to staying here many more times.  Megan says, 'I always like to pet Amstel.'

WOW - what an experience to come back thirty nine years later and see the Osborne family.  I was their first 'employee' back in 1975 - watching four little kids running around.  Now look.  My picture if of my time 'way back when'.  So many memories.  I recently visited with my daughter. It was great to be back on the porch.  My job as a babysitter/chambermaid, all around helper prepared me for the 'BIGGER WORLD' that is out there.  I'm grown tremenously in the past thirty nine years.  It was fun to rekindle such great memories.
