December 12, 1997

Our favorite memories of Ocean City directly revolve around our stay at Osborne's Fairview Inn.  Over the years, I've been privileged enough to enjoy your hospitality and concern that wwe always enjoyed our stay and time away from the normal rigorsof work and home life.  I recall one beautiful morning, sitting on the stone jetty, watching a most amazing sunrise.  It was so peaceful and caused me to be very thankful for all of my many blessings.

In September of 1995, Joanne and I enjoyed a long weekend with your folks.  We'll always fondly remember the relaxing pace, friendsly folks, and the much needed solitude you afforded us.  We also attending the Ocean City Pops Concert, something we rarely get to do at home.   What a wonderul experience this was, as we appreciated the hard work and dedication of your local musicians and how well suported the event was by the local citizenry.  The beautiful ocean waves, the relaxing roaar of the surf, the barefoot walks on the beach, a fresh hot cup of coffee waiting for us in the morning, a smiling host family, the excitement of a bustling boardwalk, and the yearning in our hearts right now to return for another batch of memories - these are just a few our our best memories.  Thanks for making them possib.e

I thank God for a new season of life that has begun its course at the Osborne's Fairview Inn.  As a baby, and through my early childhood years, my family would visit Ocean City each summer. My mother would lay me down in a port-a-crib on the beach and the waves would lull me to sleep.  In later years I would make 'drip castles' from the wet sand.  After a tiring swim I would dry my weary body on the sand. I was hooked on Ocean City from the earliest years.  The sea and sand are in my blood.  As I grew into young adulthood I visited summer after summer on day trips and with friends.  I spent one summer living in Ocean City teaching Vacation Bible School in most of the churches in town every day, and waitressing at the Sindia by night.  I was in my glory then.

And now, a young married woman, I'v returned again to my beloved Ocean City.  This time Baby Number 1 is in the womb.  Once aagain I lay my body on the beach to lull this baby to sleep with the waves crashing on the beach.  How I pray that he loves this place as much as my husband and I do.

In this new season of life I am thankful to have met the Osborne's and am looking forward to the 'Osborne Inn' becoming a destination for my new family.  Thank you Osbornes for welcoming us and encouraging us to 'keep peddling'!

July 2, 2002

We came upon Osborne's Fairview Inn in pouring rain without any reservation in 1984.  We have celebrated our anniversary here, our daughters' birthdays here - complete with party hats, noise makers, and all thanks to Peggy Ann.  This is our home in Ocean City, New Jersey.  We are so blessed to come here and stay every summer.  Let's see...   We have stayed in every room in the house at least once. We've eaten take out in Peg and Frank's own kitchen.  I bathed our babies in Peg's kitchen sink!  That's the kind of 'family' the Osbornes's have been to us.  Rachel took her first steps in Apartment D in summer, 1992. There is no other shore spot so near and dear to us as here.  Peg named me her 'Berks County, PA. Chief Sales Representative' as we have sent friends and family to the Osborne's every year.  We look forward to the many future trips to Ocean City, NJ.  Our children will have the same warm memories we have thanks to the Osbornes at 15th and Wesley.

Ocean City to us means a place of fun and reflection all in one.  Our family loves the ocean and the boardwallk.  It is definitely a place to put aside our everyday chores and problems. It is a great place to enjoy life and all that life has to offer!

Thank you again for a wonderful stay, despite the rain!  We always enjoy staying at your Inn and so appreciate your warm hospitality.  There's no place like the Osborne Inn.

My best memory of the shore is my youngest daughter, Lynn, taking a drink from the same water fountain as I did.  She was age two when she did it.  Carey's Corner and its water fountain are an integral part of my memory of the shore.  It's great to see the cycle coming around!

Thank you so very much for opening your Inn to me and my family for many years now.  I have been staying here since I was a little girl and my sister and I were allowed to bring a friend along on vacation!  I have such great memories of the apartment downstairs!  My parents and grandparents often remind me of something funny or memorable that happened on one of our trips to Ocean City.

Now I am married and my husband Jason joins me in our visit.  We love Ocean City and plan on many more vacations here, especially once we start a family.  I want my children to have the happy memories of the shore that I presently have.  Thanks for your hospitality over these many years.

Dave:  Having a nice place to stay when we get back to the apartment.  Being able to be in a nice, quiet vacation town.  Staying with the Osborne's - one of the nicest families I have ever met.

D.J.:  Eating chips, drinking soda, drinking juice, going on the rides, playing in the sand, buying toys and toy frogs. I like the ocean.  I like Peggy's Hermit crabs.  I like to play with Amstel and I like Megan.

Adam:  I like to go to Linda's.  I like Megan.  I like the beach, the arcades, the food and Gillians.  I like playing with Amstel and the hermit crabs too.  Walking on the boardwalk I like too - when my feet arent' tired. I like playing on the beach and jumping waves.

Heidi:  Shopping, shopping, shopping and Osborne's - the best place to drop after you shop. We've never even considered staying anywhere else.  I really don't care what we do while we are there, as long as we are on the go and happy.  And I like sitting outside after the kids go to bed.

Ryan James:  'Goo Goo'.

September 22, 2008

No matter how many years pass or how far away I go, Ocean City is still my favorite place on earth.  I was fortunate to spend my first twenty years at my Grandparents' home on 16th Street and worked at Fralinger's through summers in high school.  Since then I have visited for a day or even a few nights...but now that I have found Osborne's I wiil be back for vacations again and again!

I really enjoyed my two visits with you this summer.  Such a warm and welcoming place you have!  Only a few houses from my old home - I am so happy and comfortable to be on these familiar streets, walking their blocks, sitting on their beaches, a real treat for me.  It's almost like 'coming home'!

May you and your family continue to be blessed.
